Former Manchester City assistant coach Carlos Vicens has emerged as the leading candidate to replace Paulo Fonseca at Lyon, with the Portuguese manager reportedly closing in on a move to Sporting CP.
According to L’Equipe, negotiations between Lyon, Fonseca and Sporting are advanced, with the French club expected to receive approximately €5 million in compensation while removing his substantial salary from their wage bill.
